Summary of DEED's Operating WHR Projects
DEED has three projects in service for a total electric power generating capacity of 23.5 megawatts (MW). These plants will generate over 170 million kilowatt-hours of power each year and will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 467,380 tons over the remainder of the first phase of the Kyoto Protocol. All power generated by DEED is used by customers on-site and does not require supplemental fuel consumption. Our proprietary waste heat recovery power generation is well-established technology, but has been enhanced by patented processes designed by DEED engineers.
Long You Plant Actual capacity: 4.5 MW Coordinates: Tashi Town, Long You, Zhejiang. Commissioning date: June 2007
Long Yan Plant Actual capacity: 9.0 MW Coordinates: Caoxi Town, Long Yan City, Fujian Commissioning date: December 2009
Huludao Plant Actual capacity: 10.0 MW Coordinates: Sierpu Town, Lianshan District, Huludao City, Liaoning Commissioning date: October 2009
The Long You plant is owned by Zhejiang Dushan Group Company, Ltd., and located in Zhejiang Province. The factory was built in 2005 and uses dry process technology. Long You produces 2700t/d of cement. Long Yan Cement Factory is owned by Fujian Longlin Group Co., Ltd., and located in Fujian Province. This WHR project runs on a recently completed 5000t/d, dry process cement production line. The Huludao Cement Factory was established in 2007 and is owned by Bohai Cement, Ltd., of Liaoning Province. DEED’s WHR plant functions on a 5000t/d, dry process cement production line.
DEED marketing for new projects focuses on relatively new, privately-owned, cement factories that produce more than 2,500 tpd of cement. We estimate this market currently totals over 3,000 MW. The customers we have identified can be expected to thrive in China’s current market conditions. The joint venture is also contemplating expansion into the metallurgical sector.
